Tensas Basin Levee District
The Tensas Basin Levee District Enforcement Division is a state law enforcement agency with the responsibility to detect, investigate, interdict, and prevent illegal activity through the coordinated use of integrated land and marine units. This specialized law enforcement agency provides protection for the federal levee system as well as the waterways within its district. Each TBLD officer will do their part in assuring that the residents living within the geographical boundaries of the Tensas Basin Levee District’s eight parishes are protected to the best of our ability. The protection and enforcement actions of this agency shall be provided both on and off the levee system, as well as on the waterways within the district under LA R.S. 38:326
